3rd Annual Christmas Caroling Event A Success

On Monday, December 19th a group of friends a neighbors trekked out into the cold to carol for Hands to Help Ministries.  After meeting at the Irving Park United Methodist Church, people split up into 5 groups and followed appointed Hands to Help board members to their assigned blocks.  Going door-to-door, carolers asked for donations for Hands to Help Ministries which assists the homeless and those in crisis.   Coming in from the cold at the end of the evening, the carolers were treated to cookies and hot chocolate hosted by the Methodist Church.  Carolers included members of the local churches, neighbors, and Brownies from Disney Magnet School whose favorite songs were Rudolph the Red nosed Reindeer and Jingle Bells.  By the end of the evening, Hands to Help collected $1110.00.  Thank you to all of the carolers and neighbors who donated their voices and money for a good cause.
